Rodríguez & Mendoza counts with a key department specialized in Labor Law. It handles all of our client's employment requirements arising from both individual as well as collective labor law, including employment litigation. We have been actively involved in the negotiation of major collective bargaining agreements in different business areas, such as, for instance, the food industry, vehicle assembly, pharmaceuticals, and the phosphorus industry.
Our capabilities include employment/labor audits at companies in order to (i) assess levels of compliance with fundamental labor duties; (ii) evaluate salary and non-salary items; (iii) determine employment benefit distribution improvements; (iv) review payroll formulas for paying fringe benefits, vacations, overtime, productivity bonuses, overnight premium and profit-sharing, and (v) determining labor risks.
The firm has conduced multiple labor due diligence related to the Organic Law on Prevention, Conditions and Environment at Work (LOPCYMAT) and its regulations for determining levels of compliance. Timely preventive and corrective measures are recommended by the firm based on the analysis and review of the company's employment legal status and studying the documentation and information supplied by the latter for determining the degree of compliance with labor obligations.
