Professional Experience
Reinaldo Hellmund is a Partner at Romen with more than 39 years of professional experience. His practice focuses on corporate law, advising domestic and foreign companies in the oil and gas, banking, insurance, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and construction sectors.
He has actively participated in financing transactions for oil and gas projects; advised national and international financial institutions on infrastructure projects in Venezuela related to the oil, gas, petrochemical, and construction sectors; participated in mergers and acquisitions; represented international oil companies in association agreements for the exploitation of extra-heavy crude oil and natural gas, as well as pipeline and operating service agreements for the reactivation of marginal fields. He has also represented numerous international financial institutions in loan agreements, capital markets transactions, and project finance operations; advised on the acquisition of financial institutions and food industry companies; and provided legal counsel on various joint venture projects in the energy sector. He has advised foreign oil companies in connection with association agreements for operations in Venezuela and has participated in capital markets transactions, including asset securitizations and the issuance and placement of debt and equity securities.
