His professional practice is focused in the corporate area, where he advises national and foreign companies in oil, gas, banking, insurance, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, petrochemical and construction activities.

Miguel has actively participated in financing transactions, debt restructuring and refinancing; he advises national and foreign companies in the sale and acquisition of Venezuelan companies; advises energy companies on contractual and regulatory issues of different oil and gas projects in Venezuela; advises banks and/or borrowers on project financing projects; and advises on the execution of commercial contracts and in general on corporate matters.
