Professional Experience
Santos Michelena is a Partner at Romen with more than 35 years of professional experience. His practice focuses on litigation and dispute resolution, advising domestic and foreign companies across various economic sectors in commercial litigation, including insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings, as well as civil litigation matters. He has served as legal counsel to several international airlines and has acted as an arbitrator for the Venezuelan-American Chamber of Commerce, a member of its Arbitration Committee, an arbitrator for the Caracas Chamber of Commerce, and an arbitrator before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). He has also been appointed as arbitrator in precautionary and interim relief matters by various chambers of commerce in commercial disputes.
